New to the Blogging World

Through the years blogging has become more and more popular and I have often sat back and thought, why do people blog?  Do people actually want to read what others have to say?  Well I have finally decided to join this world of blogging.  I want to share with other people the things that I create (food, crafts or anything else), where I go, and the joys that I have being a wife to a small business owner. My hope is that people actually want to read what I have to say. :-)

I just graduated college with my degree in Elementary Education and the question that everyone keeps asking me is "What next?"  My answer?  I  have no clue!  You would think being 28 years old I would have figured out what I want to do when I grow up, that's a lie.  I have worked in corporation jobs.  I have worked with small businesses. I have gone through the challenging task of completing a bachelor's degree.  Still I am no closer to figuring out what I want to be.  I'm not sure if I'm ready to stand up to the challenge of teaching full time.  I love the idea of having a little less structure in my life and a little more of what I want to do.  I mean is it written anywhere that if you don't have kids, you have to work?
This major decision is more than likely clouded by the ridiculously all consuming desire to be a mother.  Unfortunately, there is nothing more that I can do at this point to help propel that life choice happening anytime sooner.  In the mean time, I'm going to try and enjoy my life and search for new things that make me happy.

What I know for sure makes me happy?  My husband and my dogs.  My little family.

This is a rather old picture of me but I love it because of Ms. Lola Mae and Jama Ray are cuddling with me on the couch (when they used to be inside dogs).  These two are best friends, especially they grew up as puppies together.

Skip has been my dog from the beginning.  He has so much personality and just wants to love everyone that he meets.  Lately he has learned that groundhogs are a fun thing to find in the field behind our house.

Eli has become the newest member of our family.  He has added so much joy and laughter with his cute beagle behavior.  Hands down best decision ever made by Justin and me.

My love and me!  My most favorite picture we have ever taken.  Even better than our wedding photos.

I have several projects that I'm wanting to work on starting this week.
  • Attempting to sew my very first item....EVER! It's supposed to turn out as a dress.  We shall see what comes out of the machine once I'm completed.
  • A new wreath!  I love wreaths and thanks to pinterest I have found a new one that I want to make.
  • Some summer decorative pieces
  • Bread
  • Cupcakes
